“The 23rd legislative District is my home. I grew up here. I’m running for the State House of Representatives to continue to provide a strong progressive voice for my community, advocating for affordable housing, ethical responsibility and working hard for the citizens of Kitsap County.”

Leslie has worked in public service in Kitsap County for over 20 years. Since being elected to the Bremerton City Council in 2011, she has served in leadership as the vice-president of the Bremerton City Council and on virtually all of the council committees including: Finance, Public Safety & Parks, and Audit. Leslie also serves as a board member on Kitsap Transit, Kitsap Community Resources, Kitsap Cencom 911, and Kitsap Regional Coordinating Council.

“As an elected official I have championed workers rights, banned puppy mills & single use plastic bags, supported safe and welcoming communities for all people, and have fearlessly stood up to bullies in Kitsap County, within our state, and nationally.”

Most of Leslie’s adult life has been focused on supporting kids and families. Leslie worked in campus security for many years in the Bremerton School District, and she knows firsthand about the challenges facing kids and families here in our community.

“We need representatives in Olympia who have experience working hard for our community, with integrity, and passion. There is work to be done and I ask for your support and vote.”
